Backlinks
A backlink is a link from a file, into the file you are looking at. I think of this as a road to a house.
This is created after an outgoing link is made. This would be a road going away from the house.
The backlink’s panel has 4 options.
- Collapse/Expand results
- Show more context
- Change sort order
- Search
Each of these options are also available with the in document backlinks as well.
In document backlinks can be enabled for a file or for all files in a vault. The global setting may need an Obsidian restart.

Graph view
The global graph can show every file in your vault.
Whereas the local graph view shows you files linked to the current active file.
Each line in the graph represents an outgoing link or a backlink. More links mean a bigger node.
Each node in the graph is a file. When clicked, you are taken to that file.
Format converter
This is used when migrating to Obsidian. It helps convert other file formats.

Sometimes you have files you want to merge. This plugin lets you do that.
When you activate the command the file you are on will be put in the file you select.

After extracting a section you can choose what is left behind.
Outgoing links
